Baofeng - VFO & Channel Mode | RadioReference.com Forums
The Baofeng 5RH Pro (GPS) does as well after I installed the newest firmware update, and a couple Quansheng K series radios I modified using F4HWN firmware and egzumer_v0.22 firmware.

Baofeng on FRS channels - RadioReference.com Forums
Hello, I recently purchased a Baofeng BF-F9V2+. I do not have any licenses yet. After reading multiple forums, it seems that it would be illegal for me to transmit on FRS frequencies. However, from the FCC website, my understanding is that FRS channels are free to use so long as the...

Baofeng DM-1701 codeplug Open DG77 sample needed
I live in Madisonville Ky (western) and recently purchased a cheap DM-1701 to try on DMR. Firmware is upgraded to OpenGD77 and I am using the OpenGD77 CPS to read and write (successfully). All analog channels work fine. However, as a lot of newbies experience, I am having trouble making a DMR...

Baofeng AR-5RM - Page 3 - Equipment Reviews - myGMRS.com Forums
I recently picked up a Baofeng AR-5RM. The kit included the radio with battery, a standard "701 clone" antenna tuned to FM (broadcast radio) / 136-174MHz / 400-520MHz, an Abbree AR-771 VHF/UHF antenna Nice detailed review. Thanks for the antenna tests. I got 2 of these a few days ago and have been going through them pretty thoroughly.

What is the best Baofeng handheld and why? : r/Baofeng - Reddit
BF UV-5R, BF UV-17 Pro GPS, Baofeng UV-5RM (basically a large UV-5R w/ digital screen and the ability to listen to AM airband channels), and then I recently picked up a Quansheng UV-K5 (8) and an orange UV-K6. All purchased on Aliexpress. I do agree with the others that the Quansheng is your best bang for buck.

Baofeng - New Baofeng 5RM model | RadioReference.com Forums
While early model Baofeng UV-5R radios were problematic (politely phrased), the quality and spectral purity has significantly improved in past ten years: dispelling early genuine Baofeng model trash talk. The fake clones were garbage. The UV-5R is discontinued and replaced with the third...

Baofeng - RadioReference.com Forums
I recently bought my first scanner, the Baofeng UV-5R. Been trying to find my local PD, and finally found some of what they use. However, their frequency is only 5 numbers, whereas on my screen I still need one more number. Am I thinking about this wrong, are 6 numbers not needed? If 6...

My thoughts on Baofeng radios - RadioReference.com Forums
My Retevis, TYT, Baofeng and other "CCRs" as people call them, are capable or receiving things that my $600 scanners can't, especially at greater distances. With the addition of OpenGD77 firmware, they scan adequately for my needs. I have never timed them against my scanners, so I can't say that they "scan as fast as", but they seem pretty close.
